How durable is the pad on the answer system? I talked to a guy from a different company which install the brake but they use a different pad. He said the pad  with the springs in it is junk. What's your opinion? I live in Michigan I can drive to the company in Davison to get the work done. I have a funny feeling that the guy is bsssss.  :wink:

It is true that the recoil pad uses springs.  As such, the pad really, really works.  

I'm not quite sure how I can answer the question of whether the pad is durable because I have only had it on my gun for about 2 years.  During that time, it has held up very well with no problems and no signs of wear.  Then again, since I own many rifles, I don't use these particular guns with the Answer System very much either.
