Count me in!  Should I bring ALL my guns, or just my favorites?  Sounds like a good excuse for a weekend north.  I like staying at the Day's Inn in Grayling.  I occasionally will ride motorcycle up that way when I can.  I tried a shooting weekend that way a few years ago.  Loaded four pistols in one saddlebag and about 400 rounds of ammo in the other.  The bag with the ammo was broken across the back when I got home.  (Must not have shot enough of it up!)  Lloyd, you going to bring down some of them real purtty pistols?  See Ya there!  44 Man

Hmm,
Motorcycle's, Saddlebag's.
Had mine up to Osh Kosh WI on that weekend last year. Have no plans for this year.

.44 man: I know where you are coming from on the broken bag. That ammo gets heavy, especially if I brought a bunch of .45's

Lloyd: I don't know how big Grayling is. Would I blow into town & watch for a poster?
Alot of us have GPS units & cordinance would be greatly appreciated if it is practical to get as you say the shoot is near Grayling.
THANKS

these are the directions he gave me
To get to my house, take I-75 to Exit 264 (Frederic-Lewiston exit). Turn right (West). Go 2 miles to the stoplight,. This is Old-27. Turn Left(South). Go 1/2 mile to the first road which is W. May Lake Rd. There may or may not be a street sign, depending on if the nitwits steal the new one! There is a cemetary on the East corner. Turn Right (West) go to the fourth house on the left.

Between range sessions, I do maps.

According to the directions Lloyd posted, I get the following GPS coordinates on the described house.

Latitude  =       44.77088117 N
Longitude=      84.75942628 W
(WGS84, suitable for GPS unit)

My Delorme software was giving me fits & put me in Canada at the said coordinates.
My Aviation software did much better placing me just north of the Grayling airport.
More fine tuning on the Delorme placed me at..
44* 46.251 N
84* 45.381 W

This is still off but read as being south of Frederic, east of Higgins lake, and on the south side of W May Lake Rd.
(visual here would be to watch for the forth house) Thanks for your help.

Lloyd
Thanks for the post. I would really like to be there if possible. Would appreciate any updates you have on this shoot such as formal, informal, entry fee's & such.
It would be nice to know how much money you guys are planning on winning from me  :)

Hey guys, is this for Saturday or Sunday so I know when I have to have a room for.  I had a friend who lived in Fredreck when I was younger.  I took my jeep down every two track over there.  I know that road, used to hunt just west of there.  44 Man

This sounds like a Shootist Holiday to me! MAN I wish I could make it. I am having my knee rebuilt on the 15th so I will be out of service for a while. Any chance of moving the date to the 10th or 1th or both?

You guys should bring a camera along and get some pictures too.

Sure wish I could be there.

Jay

Not posting here before, only on the Cowboy Action site, could someone tell me what this is??   Is this a friendly shoot between friends using the wire to set it up??  Is this a planed serious shoot for prizes or money????
Or is this just a bunch of like thinking Single Action shooters getting together to shoot imprompto targets for a day or so for fun???

I'll keep checking this post and maybe, if you all don't mind, might sneak away from home that weekend for a little bit. Any day spent shooting is better than a day at work.

That is, if this is open to anyone or is an invitation required??

I'm more used to shooting big, close, steel targets than paper. Or should I say, "shooting AT big close steel targets"

Lloyd,

If you happen to have any of those Bin Laden or Taliban targets, put a nice large caliber through it for me.
