Is there any gold in west virginia

Can anyone tell me if there have been any gold in this state. beside the black gold that we mine. we call coal  :lol:

Tucker County has some quartz outcrops and you might find some placer deposits near the Ohio boarder that came form the glaciers.

Virginia actually has more gold in a belt that stretches from the capital southwest through the middle of the state.  I have heard of people prospecting on the shores of the Delaware River within site of the capital.
