There are some really good areas out of Golden Meadow. I fish that area a lot as it's local to me. Nothing better than a big red in about a foot of water zipping the drag.

Sometimes it's hard not to catch fish.

i wadefish quite a lot--have not found many places along this part of the third coast that is very supportive of this except off miss, la in the chandeliers. best is the bays of tex. that i have been-never fished fla.
personally i only use a boat to get to where i get to get out. winter is best for me--nobody but me and big reds and trout are out.
don't fish for numbers or special spots all the time--i like to see whats in new spots. like boat trips down the intercoastal and fish along the way.

Another Gulf Coast angler here. I fish mainly between the Econfina River and Carrabelle in Florida with brief adventures to St. Joe Bay, Panama City and Destin. I mainly fish for grouper, snapper and cobia, but will drag a spread for dolphin and hoo's, from time to time. I also do a fair amount of spear fishing.
