« on: November 24, 2002, 07:27:50 AM »
I have a old contender that is a pre easy open but opens easy enough for me.The problem that has comeup is that I sometimes get no primer strike at all when the hammer falls,If I fire that same round It may or maynot fire on the next try but it takes no more than 3 tries. talk about as break in concentration. Any suggestions?

Three things come to mind.....I would replace

1.) Hammer spring

2.)Fire-pin spring

3.)firing pin

Locking lugs

Steve
How can one tell if the locking lugs are working properly?
Have trouble with my 7 TCU and always though it was head 'shoulder' spacing, although I had to send the frame to TC because the hammer would stop on half cock on one of my carbine barrels. :D
