Grips for SBH Hunter

Lett Grips makes a set of Black Micarta that I was going to put on mine before someone stole it.  They look good.  As far as I know, they accept the regular Blackhawk grips, not the SBH grips.  Maybe someone else will know for sure.  GS

Dogshooter:  eagle Grips makes some very nice grips in a number of different materials.  They have horn, micarta, rosewood and buffalo horn, which is black.  I have a pair of buffalo horn grips on two of my S&W magnums and they are very nice.  Hope this helps.  Mikey.

:D  I like the Hogue grips best.

I was looking for soething like the Pachmayer or Hogue grips. Hogue doesn't make one either. I'm more interested in grip and recoil reduction than looks.

When I wanted some Pachmeyers for my SBH (cut down to 4"), I thought it would be a simple find.   Come to find out, my choices were limited.  This was due to the fact that it was stainless not because of the model.  It seems that for some reason, the SBH stainless gripsframes differ from the blued ones.   :?   I ended up getting a pair of Pachmeyer "gripper" style ones.  (I needed them with the really hot loads)
If you prefer wood grips, Lett or Eagle should be able to fill your needs.

I called Pachmayer and the lady I talked to said that Ruger changed the frame deminsions some on the SBH.

I have a Hunter grip frame that I bought directly from Ruger and it accepts all of my Super Blackhawk grips. The lady was right only in that Ruger rounded the trigger guard on the Hunter. The frames are identical except for that. I owned a Hunter but sold it two years ago (stupid move).
