Brown Bear Down!!!
« on: May 15, 2004, 11:17:45 AM »
All,

I just got into Anchorage from Perryville, I was very fortunate to get this guy Wed morning around 6. He is well over 10ft, and the skull is at the 28" mark. More to follow later, I have to catch a boat for PWS tomorrow for blackies. Hope you guys are doing well, will post more late next week. I will also post more pics of this guy I have named "Gunther"

Armymp71,

Way to go, buddy.  Nice bear.  Just look at those claws...  Good luck on the black bear.  We'll be expecting some good stories when you get home.

Finally catching my breath, the skull measured 27 7/16, I dropped off the hide to my Taxidermist and can't wait to get this guy in my den. I will now start saving for my tundra grizzly hunt in a few years. Enjoy the pics!
