Someone told me that he thought the Ruger single six had a plastic front sight. Is this true? Thanks

The one on mine is steel or aluminum, not sure which.  It is about 10-12 years old though.

Just got brand new one 2 months ago, the NR9, 9 1/2" version.  It has a metal front sight.

The Ruger single si front sight has always been made of investment cast steel, either blued or stainless.

Mine are all steel.

A little hint, the front sight from the Mark II semi autos are steel also.  They are patridge style and fit perfect on the single six.  NO glare off the front sight.  Mine have been switched over.  Love it.
