Decellerator vs. Limb Saver-Which Pad to Choose??
« on: May 11, 2004, 11:26:35 AM »
I am sending my Bell and Carlson stock back to the factory for a better recoil pad and new finish on the stock.  They will replace the factory pad with either of the ones mentioned above.

I have the decellerator on a McMillan stock, but I have also heard nothing but praise for the SVL limb saver.

Which one should I go with.  Does one seem to out perform the other when it comes to recoil reduction?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Until you get up past the really big kickers, say into the 458 Lotts and above, I like the Decelerator.  At the level of the Lott and heavier, I like pads like the Silvers.

I think you will really like the Decelerator.

Sorry I forgot to mention that it is chambered in 7mm Rem Mag.  I can handle recoil fine, its just that if I reduce it further, I feel that I could shoot it that much better.
