Hogue Grips
« on: May 10, 2004, 02:34:27 PM »
The Wooden Hogue grips are really beautful both the smooth and the checkered but man are they expensive! they cost as much as I paid for most of my barrels & shrouds for the checkered versions! Still I think I want a set I really like them. anybody own a set? what do you think of them. I have the rubber set on my gun already and they are really great.
They are even better than the factory grips that came with my gun.

I own both the Hogue Wood and Hogue Rubber.
Being said that the Hogue Rubber are very nice but the Wood even feel better and a bit smaller,The wood don't cover the backstrap at top like the rubber and the girth of the grip is reduced. See pics.
Here's My Dan Wesson with Wood Hogue

Deaf Smith have you found the problem inside your 15-2 yet?
I'd still bet it's got a broken trigger return spring?
Good Luck and Buy The Wooden Hogues,You'll be glad you did, I am!!

Thats the funny thing. U pulled the gun out of the safe (having not touched it in 2 years due mainly my illness and that it gave me MAJOR trouble the last time I had it out. Now for some reason its orking just fine? I have been dry firing it both single and double action tring to get it to mess up like it did beour but no go its just clicking away like a new gun. I don't know what to think now. It gave me real trouble at a IDPA match and the last time I had it out to a regular range. the trigger kept staying back instead of returning back to where it belongs. I have been clicking away for almost a week now and it still works. I will keep at it and see where it goes. Maybe it has to be fired to make it not work.
I don't know what else to do. I am glad it works now but I have some doubts it will say that way. Lets hope so.
