Don't really have a favorite "rig" more like a favorite caliber, which is .41. So I always grab something in .41. I currently have 14 handguns in .41 caliber 10 are .41RemMag and the other 4 are .41 wildcats so no favorite "rig" so long as it is .41 I'm cool.
Love those .41s'

Yes .41 is a great cartridge.  I've enjoy mine.  More so, I enjoy my .45 single actions.  All 4 Rugers.  I guess to pick a favorite...the stainless Bisleys with 5 1/2" bbl(AcuSport ed.).  Got 2 of 'em and they just balance perfectly and the feel and fit to my hand is all too close to perfect.  It will be my primary hunting gun this fall.

The one that makes every trip to the range is a FA 83 475 Linebaugh with 6” octagon barrel carried in an EPS 1920 cross draw holster and gun belt. It’s killed hog, deer, rabbits and a bunch of paper.

Be Safe,
Scott

My favorite at this point is my Freedom Arms 454 Premier with 7.5" barrel.  With 300 XTPMAG bullets at 1620, its devastating on whitetail.  I'm working up some cast loads at the time and will probably give them a try this year.  However, I just bought a 41 Ruger Hunter with 4x Leupold and an Old Model 45 Colt with 4 5/8" barrel.   So, I'll be working up loads for those two as well for this upcoming year.  Hopefully I can give them all at least one shot this year and I'll try not to leave out the 44.  He may get jealous if left at home too much

My real serious hunting gun is a FA 454 with 7.5 in barrel. I've taken everything from deer, antelope,  to moose.

I'm starting to carry and use my 45 SS Ruger Bisley with a 5.5 in barrel more and more. It might turn into my favorite rig this coming year. I've just taken deer, antelope and bear with this one
for every law thats passed alittle freedom dies

Contender with any caliber barrel to suit the game from my 17 HRM to my 45-70.  Scope is optional depending on the range, I have barrels in similiar caliber ranges both with and without scopes.

I have revolvers and like to shoot them, I just am never as accurate with them no matter what the distance or whether shooting off hand or from a rest.

Well it used to be the 45 long Colt loaded hot in my Ruger revolvers but these days its either a 41 or 44 magnum in a heavy duty double or single action revolver(then rugers again) or my contender with any number of calibers the thing is now-a-days I only use calibers I can buy hunting ammo from the store for. Not that I don't or can't reload I can and for the most part do but some days an opertunity comes along and you don't have the right ammo loaded fo the right game and I like the idea of stopping at the local gun shop and buying a couple of boxes and going hunting or shooting as the case may be. I don't ever want to have to say no becouse I don't have the right ammo again. These days my 45's are for self defence(45 acp) or Cowboy action. Besides I have my favorite revolvers set up for hunting now and I don't plan to change them. It would be too damn expensive!
