New Super Blackhawk Hunter
« on: May 05, 2004, 09:19:19 AM »
I just added a Super Blackhawk Hunter .44 Mag. to my collection.  This thing sure is fun to shoot.  I am really looking forward to this fall to carry it to the deer woods.  I have just started experimenting with loads but so far it looks very accurate.  Under 2" at 50 yards with what I've loaded so far................

I had a Hunter 44 that I really liked but it was stolen a couple of years back.  However, I recently replaced it with a 41 Hunter just because I like the hunter configuration and I didn't own a 41 yet so I figured what the heck.  Haven't had a chance to shoot this one yet.  Hopefully I'll get a chance next week at some point.  What are you shooting in your 44 so far.  Mine like 240 XTPs of course and also the regular 300 grain Nosler JHP.  The Nosler shot very well, not a speeddemon but very accurate.  GS

Got one of the 45 hunters myself.  Will likely get one of the 22 Hunters sometime fairly soon.  Would like to get the whole Hunter line-up but just can't bring myself to do it.  I'd still need to get the 41, 2 .44 models and the .17 model.  I just have other "wants' and don't really need another .41 or .44.   They are nice.  I hd intended to use it this fall but after getting one of the 5 1/2" ss Bisleys in .45, the 45 Hunter is gonna be second choice.  Good luck with yours!

I'm trying to decide between the .44 and the .41 right now.  My heart is telling me .41, but my head is telling me .44.  I guess this is why I like to reckon these decisions for a while.

I have a .41RemMag RSBHH. I really enjoy shooting it. Plan to use it along with the 657-5PC as the main critter gitters next season. Don't like the .44RemMag too much. Have a SBH and a 29 that are "safe queens".
Love those .41s'

I bought the SBH 41 Mag Hunter shoots 255gr WFNGC at 1450 into 2" at 50 yards w/Leupold 2x scope,this is a  semi-custom mould w/ .430 noselength which creates a little more powder room.
