What would you pay????

What would be a good price for a Remington Sendero 300 RUM / 300 SAUM?  The barrel can either be stainless or blued.  I am thinking of purchasing one.  Thanks

Big difference between the Ultra and the Short Ultra.??????????????

What would I pay??  Nothin----as you couldn't even give me a Remington---if you insisted---I'd take it and sell it for something better.

I see the Ultra-mag going for about $800 even with the short mag going a little cheaper. I don't know why a person doesn't just give you a straight answer instead of bashing different products, must be their intelligence.

I suppose the verdict is not in yet, but I would be careful with the new Remington calibers.  I am not sure if they are going to last . . . unless of course you reload.  Nothing against Remingtons but I would look at something in the Winchester short mags if I was going that route.  Quite a few rifle manufacturers sell their rifles in the Win short mags.

Nice point, Polack.  Seems like that goes on quite a bit around here......

Polack is pretty close on the price, most of them that I've seen hover around the $800 range.  Good luck with the purchase.

A "good price" used would be closer to $700 but have seen them as high as $950.  I don't think Remington makes the blued model any more - Which was also the least expensive.  A new flute stainless steel can run over $1,000.  I've seen the same blued 25-06 at the same dealer for over a year now at various gun shows- He'd started it at $650 and is still asking that.

I priced ordering a Sendero SF in 7 Mag from a local dealer. I felt like he gave me a good price at $765.00. If you order, my local dealers seem to work with you a little better than buying one on the shelf.

Would not worry about buying a Remington, for every one complaint there are a thousand happy shooters that have them. I have several and all in all they are as good as any rifle. All have shot sub-MOA off the bench with factory ammo.

Ray,

$600 - $625 for the Sendero 25-06 and your man has a deal.

shoot'n hogs - I bought my Rem 700 SS BDL in .300RUM for 550.00 six years ago and I have had very good luck with all my Remingtons dispite what some people's opinions are. Sometimes you may find a used one in great shape if your lucky. As to the .300 RUM being around for a while, I think it's one of the few that will make it. Good luck with your search! CEJ...
If I can't take my rifles with me, I don't want to go!
