I need some input guys! scopes/ammo

:wink:  Well i went to gander mt. the other day to just look around and before i left , i dropped some cash an one of 2,500 limited run buckmark rifles with the carbon barrels!
 Now i would like some imput on red dots scopes,and some holo sights under 200$. Is this a reasonable thinking or do i have to break the bank?
 I realy like the gun and i will probbably only plink with it or some serious red squirrel killing off the back porch.
 I've never owned a browning before and im not sure what it's going to like when it comes down to ammo. any suggestions.thanks.

I have no experience with red dot or holo type sights.

Winchester Power Points (with a large cavity 40 grn HP) have given excellent accuracy in every rifle I've shot them in.

For standard velocity target type ammo I would try the Wolf Target fodder made in Germany. It shoots great in my tuned hunting type rifles. A friend who competes in rimfire matches says the standard Wolf Target shoots as well as target grade ammo costing several times as much.

My primary shooting interests are rifle and handgun shooting. I particularly enjoy 22 rimfire target, plinking, and varmint hunting but shoot a lot of 22 centerfires as well. I am an avid reloader and bullet caster.

BIG FOOT,

I have tried both red dot and halo sights and don't really care for them.  Still got the ones I bought laying around in my shop.  I prefer to have magnification and not cover up so much of the target when shooting.  My advice is get a good scope for your new rifle and have fun.  Small groups and tight lines to you.  Lawdog

:grin: I just thought i would try somethin diffrent i gues, this gun looks great and even better thith the adco holo on it but i had no experiances with the gun or the sight!
I have an old glenfield/marlin bolt gun [single shot] with a 3x9x50 that shoots dead on at 50yds with a 5/8 group and at 25yds it just rips a ragged little hole! a great little EVERYTHING gun, its not in 100% shape but i piad almost nothing for it and im not afraid to realy get down and use it ya know. now im getting my first real nice lookin plinker and id like for everyone to shoot it so maybe they will enjoy shooting as much as i do [i doubt it]. plus its a limited run so i can hand down a nice piece  to my kids,but for know i think all will enjoy a fast handling light weight FUN gun ... i was just hopin to get a little feedback on some diffrent options
