Who's P229 357 SIG barrel?
« on: April 27, 2004, 12:53:40 PM »
:D

I've decided to purchase a 357 SIG barrel for my P229. Any recommendations as far as an aftermarket barrel?

I bought a bbl from SIG for my 239 and am pleased with it. Don't know who makes it though.

I can get you a good used factory barrel for $90 shipped (+$10 for hand selected).  If you are interested, send me an email at talogsdon@comcast.net

:D Johnly I think if you look around  you will find that to be a fair price.  I paid a few dollars more for mine new, but that was several years ago.  I've seen the used barrels at gun shows for around $100-$125.

The .357 Sig is a good cartridge and a good shooter.  Buy it, you'll love it!

I have two .357 Sig aftermarket barrels for my P229, one made by Barstow and the other by Fire Dragon. Both shoot well, but I like the business practices of Barstow much better than I do those at Fire Dragon. Those ninnies put my credit card number on an email. I squawked the first time they did it and then they did it again!

I immediately got a new credit card and vowed never to again patronize Fire Dragon.

For this reason I recommend Barstow.
