I down sized the pic so it would be a little easier for someone with dial up like me to open. If someone could take the link and post the pic here id really appreciate it. Thanks for all the help i got posting it the first time.they shoot real well both will shoot into an inch with the right loads. The vaquaro was case hardened barrel cut to 4 5'/8s drift adj sight recut forcing cone warning removed blackpowder champer freewheeled and round butted it has french walnut grips by scott kolar on it. The old model was a full accurarized line bored conver. to .44 spec. case hardened bisley hammer steel grip frame that was roundbutted steel ejector housing bowen sight and the grips were a set of letts that he fitted and refinished.

Great!

Knew you had the .45 blk powder champhered, barrel cut down & the forcing cone recut.
Do you specifiy any extra work such as cylinder throat boring (to your own spec's) cylinder alignment and barrel lapping done? Perhaps you work with this yourself?

I have had the trigger work done on my ruger, No Creep!. Push through slugs say that some lapping will be needed and the "slugged" cylinder say's it is a bit too tight to be a good cast shooter. Am considering having this work done. Figured that would be better than (MYSELF) trying to get those throats .001 over forcing cone diameter w/steel rod & emery in the electric drill    Perhaps I can smooth the thing out with Jacketed?

sorry about the size that came out.  the next size down from that and you really couldnt see much detail.  so i went to the next size up and it came out gigantic!   the host i use only gives three size choices.   looks like things got straightened out though.

Glad I drifted through here.  I had David convert one of my .50's vintage flattops to .44 special.  Color case the frame.  The work is some of the finest I have ever seen.  It is accurate pleasant to carry.  I cannot recommend Clements highly enough.  Matter of fact, my second flattop may go out to him for conversion to 10mm.

Take care,
