Accuracy,,,or the lack of.
« on: April 17, 2004, 05:53:25 PM »
I've tried everything with my gun from factory ammo to different type's of reload's, and switched from 6" to 8"  barrels, and truthfully, I shoot about the same with everything I try.

I believe my problem is holding steady. I can tell I'm moving and even flintch sometime's.  I can get a consistant 1 3/4" group most of the time. But it seams like when I get the bullseye's, I alway's get a couple of flier's to go with them.

I thought maybe if you guy's looked at my shot's, maybe you could see something that I can't figure out. I know that's a big maybe, but I'm desperate to get more consistant. Thank's for any input. Cal

The following is at 7 yard's, I know, that's terrible, but I can't see any farther. And sitting down with my elbow's supported. They are also the best of.

Those aren't bad groups BUT!!
No realy I can get better groups free hand.
If I rest or sand bag I seem to flinch or something.
Best group to date was 1 1/2" @ 100 Yards,Six shots in a 1 1/2".
Shot on a GOOD DAY at Henryville Forestry Range.
I wish I would have saved the Target to SHOW..
I shoot at Paper plates,They give a perfect sight picture.
Ammo was Remington 125gr SJHPs,Federal opened the groups up a bIt.
I bet a realy GOOD Shooter,Wich I'm Not,Could make the DW Hit the same hole 6 times. There Damn Accurate..
And MM were did you get your Pistol Pack Case? EBAY??
I gotta get me one of those..
And Blind Man Shooting.
There was a guy at the indoor range that was completely BLIND and he shot a Group that got him a CCDW permit and he's BLIND.NO Sight at all.
It humbled me for sure. They just pointed him in the direction of the target and he shot. They all hit the paper. That's the Idea!! With a Beretta92FS??
Makes you wonder doesn't it.
And thanks for the Post Cal. Those are pretty good targets for Sure.
That's one thing for sure there's always someone who can shoot better than me? Like Ernest Langdon IDPA champ and he shoots Sigs & Berettas.
If he had a DW 8" there would be only one little Hole.. :D

As far as the case goes, I bought my gun as a complete pistol pack, everything was already there except the belt buckle and patch. I got those off of ebay.

As far as the target's, I think that's terrible shooting for 7 yard's. I guess I'm just too old to be accurate. I'm defenatly going to get a scope.  There's no way I could even see a paper plate at 100 yard's. 8) =blind man glasses.

Next time you go shooting save the target's. I'd like to see how well other people do. Then I can really hang my head in shame.

pISTOL CASE

I found a gun case in a local shop which had those little squares of foam that were removeable to maks a fitted setup for any type of gun you want to use the case for. I set ir up for the gun with a 2.5 inch barrel and all the rest of my barrels inclusing 2 4 inchers and a spare blue 8" barrel alone. I also made space for the spare sights barel gap spaceer and barrel nuts as well as a space for the barrel wrench (old style t type I have two of them in plastic wish I could fins a steel one. I do have a steel 44 wrench atound here somewhere again t style and no rubber caps on it).
The case looks pretty good and I like the whold setup.
