15" 300Win Mag anyone shooting one ? What do you guys

Think......I have a 15" '06 Encore but.....would the 300Win mag give me more bang for the buck ?

It would definitely give you more BOOM  :-D but as to velocity not a lot more. Some true but likely no more than a Hornady Light Mag or Federal equivilent whatever it is they call theirs. But oh so much more noise and recoil.  :eek:

I have a 16.5" .300 that was cut down from a 26" heavy barrel and Mag-na-ported. With a good grip the recoil comes straight back. I shot it a few days ago with a loose grip and it torqued my wrist pretty good. I haven't shot it that much but it is fun and different. jim

Thank's guys....its hard to beat the old '06 I should be thinking of a 6mm Rem now that would be FUN.

Ya well my '06 using IMR4350 and 4064 burns all of it! :)
