What kind of rings do you have on your custom rifle?
I have Conetrol rings and mount on my custom Texas Contender. I like the sleek lines and they perform great!  8)

What do you have on yours?.........1stshot

Only one real answer, Burris Signature rings..

Self aligning, won't damage the scope tube.  With the cost of quality scopes, why use something that can (and ususlly does) scar up the scope tube?  The other advantage is if you're short on elevation, the off-set ring kit provides additional elevation..  I needed them for my Burris 3-12x mounted on a 15" 7-30 Waters.

Worked great and the scope is still mint.

1stshot,

I'm from Brisbane, Australia and new to this website. I have a custom rifle built on  FN M98 in 308 Norma Magnum and it has Conetrol bases and mounts. In fact all my rifles, including my rimfire has Conetrol mounts with the exception of my 375 Chatfield-Taylor (375/338) built on a Ruger M77 which is wearing Ruger rings.

I have pre 64 M70 fwt in 270 coming from the US at the moment and it will be equipped with Conetrol mounts as soon as it arrives.

I've never experienced any problem with them in 30 years.
