What is the barrel diameter of a factory Katahdin?

Anyone adapted a Boyd's laminated forend to fit? I would figure you could start with a heavy and go from there. I really like the laminated stock, and I'm contemplating a 45/70 Katahdin barrel.

It is a tapered barrel. Some one posted a couple of days ago that Fox Ridge has special forends for it now but I haven't looked.  KN
