Cooper Model 57-M Rimfire
« on: April 08, 2004, 09:10:24 AM »
I will be purchasing a .17 Hornandy Mach 2 (.17HM2) when they hit the market later this year. I am interested in the Cooper Arms of Montana Model 57-M LVT. I believe they will be adding it to their list? I will be Primarily Hunting small game, Mostly Squirrel and lots of them. As this is my first purchase of a high end rimfire any information would be appreciated very much. Thanks in advance for any and all feedback. Respectfully, Rob[/url]

I've got a 57-M in .17 HMR. Really well built and it defines the word "tackdriver"! I put a Leupold 4.5-14 scope w/Warne rings on top of it. I shoot ground squirrels with it. It's zeroed @ 100 yards and shoots like a laser to 150. A bit pricy but worth the money. Mike

Thanks for the comments. I've been very happy with the various Marlin rimfires that I own. (.22-.22Mag-.17HMR) I'm sure that I will be extremely happy with the Cooper that is due to arrive later this year. From what I've seen over the years performance wise, I believe the .17 HM2 should be perfect for Squirrel and other small game."Squirrel Boy"
