Question about sako trigger
« on: April 07, 2004, 05:41:22 AM »
I have rifle with a sako trigger on a FN action. Would anyone be able to tell me how to increase the weight of the trigger pull? The fellow I bought it from has it set just alittle lighter than I like. I would just like to increase the pull and not the travel if I can.  LouisV

Question about sako trigger

Probably the best thing to do would be to go to the Sako Website and download their owners manual.  It gives in structions.  For my Sako rifles all it takes is an allen wrench and a very slight turn clockwise.  But read the manual.

On those triggers, the weight-of-adjustment screw is the one in the middle.Counterclockwise for a lighter pull, and clockwise for heavier.the bottom screw is the trigger stop.Hope this helps.

Thanks for the responses, I forgot to include that it is the #4 trigger. I went to thier website but didn't any thing about that particular trigger. I'll try adjusting per Ray's instruction. The light trigger works great on the bench but offhand I've had acouple shots go before I was ready. LouisV
