BIGFOOT HUNT
« on: April 06, 2004, 05:37:53 PM »
Hi gang :D
    This past Saturday night ( April 3, 2004) 3 hunters and myself, went Bigfoot Hunting. We started out at 18:00 hrs, by building a nice fire (the weather got down to 40 degrees), and brought along a charcoal grill, with some steaks, baking potatoes, and corn on the cob.
    The moon was a brillant yellow overhead as we were eating our meal. Yes the steaks were wonderful, and everbody commented that they were the best steaks ever,---- anywhere---.
     At about 20:00 hrs, the smell of the wood fire and leftover steaks must have reached the monkey`s cause the first peacock holler started. We immediatley got our night vision scopes and ran to the creek from where the holler came, from, and saw a 7ft bigfoot running away from us.
This was the start of a very exciting night. We decided to split up in pairs, so my stepson (which was a non believer) went with me to a tower stand about 300 yards away from the fire. The other two hunters stood at the fire. ( the plan was that Bigfoot was a curious animal, so therefore would come to see them, in return, we would see him, Bigfoot that is.)
   The plan worked better than we thought. about 30 minutes after we got in our stand, one (Bigfoot) started walking from the south of us, headed to the fire. I warned the other two hunters, by way of walke talke`s , and they saw him. He (bigfoot) took out running and was extremley fast. That made a believer out of my stepson, He`s 33 years old.
    Because of the length of reporting that it would take, I cannot go into detail, about the whole evening, but we saw 6 all total,  now some maybe the same one`s, and we got a 12ft 1400 lb tower stand shoved over by one in anger.
    We fired no shot`s , did not feel threaten in anyway, but proved our point, that the animals are curious, not hostile at this point, except that one shoved over a 12 tower stand.`
    The smallest bigfoot was about 5ft tall and the tallest about 8ft. somewhere from 185 lbs, to about 400 lbs.
This report is true so help me god. Of those that don`t believe, that is your right.

Hi Bigbill;
   No the beef wasn`t homegrown, but was bought at Reaser`s store. They have a beef sale for about 3 weeks, and it is wonderful. The beef is angus, and is just delicious.

I believe you forgot one of the items that must have been on the menu..... that is  many,many,many cans of beer that was consumed prior to the sightings.

Yeah, we got 5 of them trail cams. They work o.k. but their not as great as they are hyped to be. for instance, if you walk past the camera at a 2 M.P.H. pace,  it will be to fast for the picture. The camera will take a picture, but you are already past the point of frame.
   Now a slow browsing deer, or squirrel, will take a picture just fine. My findings, is that the detection or motion detection, is to slow for most action shots.
   I do have two pictures of bigfoot, one is a blur,and the other picture is of his right leg.

Hey Bullet Maker,  why don't ya try making 5 bait piles for them, and setting your trail cams up on the piles, couldn't you get them coming to bait just like any other animal?  Just curious.  Corey

Hi Corey :D
   Yeah, we do that all the time, the two pictures, of bigfoot that I posted earlier, that we have of him ( one was blurrey, and the other picture just his right leg), was taken over bait piles. Bait piles are good, and do work,----sometimes. But 99 percent of the time, other predators get the bait piles first, such as coyotes, dogs, cats, etc. wild hogs, you get my drift.
   What works best, is fish, hanging from a tree, we have some bait right now hanging from a tree`s, but of yet the bigfeet have not tried for the bait. The crow`s are having a feast, however :twisted:
   It all boils down to one thing, and that is if bigfoot happens to be in the area, and is hungry for the particular bait that you are using. There is so much food source around here, deer, turkey`s, livestock, etc. that he pretty much has his choice, not to mention the various plants.
     But yes we do have bait stationes around,

Hey guy`sa;
   I would like to add another thing to my last post. We don`t see bigfoot everytime we go bigfoot hunting. We also don`t associate, every little bump in the dark, as bigfoot. Bigfoot is an animal, that does exist, and is wiryer, more intellengent, crafter, more keener seenses, than any old buck, you have pursued in the past deer hunting trips. We have less than a 1% margin of success of even getting to see him. Add to that, and its dark, so you get my drift. The reason I bring this up, is because one poster, said I had a big imagination. The 99% of the times we are in the woods at dark, with night vision, and don`t see a thing, except the usually wild life, you don`t hear about that. I only report when we do have a bigfoot encounter.
   This post is for the newbies on the board, and not for you older heads, that know me. :D

bulletmaker  I have seen sign of mountainlions(tracks) over 20+ years ago and there was "no mountainlions"  I was told it had to be something else!!!  It pissed me off because i know what i'm seeing I took a picture of the track and soon after one showed up at my camp.  Then a year later my neighbor said the state said they are really out there so they admitted it.  Now my other neighbor is seeing them on a regular basis.  So my thoughts are that they are multiplying and spreading out to the lower areas besides in the higher elevations too. So many posters on the mountainlion reporting website get so pissed because they haven't seen one too.  This animal is so smart and elusive you aren't going to see one like seeing a bass in a pond it just ain't going to happen.  Now I'm hearing something besides the usual deer/bear/coyote/mountainlion while I haven't seen it yet I can't explain it nor can i draw a conclusion to what it is yet until I see it.  Its like when I first seen the mountainlion track thats the first clue something else is in the woods with me, something different out of the norm.  Which made me more aware to look closer for tracks and scat while enjoying the great outdoors hunting.  Which also made me think that other hunters don't look down for sign of deer or bear they would have to see the scat or a track in the lower elevations too??  I'm not a great hunter nor a great tracker but I can hold my own and i can see tracks in leaves that normal animals make.(deer) It not hard to do. At the same time for many years I'm looking for bigfoot tracks too.  If this guy is more elusive than a mountainlion its going to be tough to see one unless it comes to my camp and I hope what ever it is it does come sooner or later for another visit.   It just may be at night in my headlites again too just like the mountainlions.   So my point is never doubt anyone it just maybe real we never know but I never go in the woods alone anymore it just isn't safe  you may become the hunted too!!!!!  As we look into outer space  we still don't know whats here on earth and it just may hold the key to the universe you never know.                                                                  BigBill

Hi BigBill :D
   Yes, you made a very good point. There is alot more out there in them wood`s than what people realize, if they just took the time to look.
