357 Mag questions
« on: April 06, 2004, 04:48:23 PM »
At the gun shop I saw two 15-2s.  One was used with a 6 inch barrel for $325 and the other was new with Hogue grips and a 4 inch barrel for $349.  The serial numbers were 374xxx and D000xx.  Why the different serial number serries?  Is there a difference in quality between the old and the newest?

I purchased the older 357 because the fit looked much better.  On the new revolver the strap above the cylinder was ground thinner so the barrel shroud was higher and the rear sight stuck out in the front of its slot.  The final price was $275.  The revolver looks like the previous owner seldom if ever fired it.

Congrats also on the Older Monson Mass. DW 15-2
I got me a 6" barrel and schroud & haven't shot it with that barrel YET!
The 8" is the one I use the most.
Going to the range in 2 hours.
And as monson magnum said post some pics of your find.
Welcome and good deal,I paid $295 for mine :D
