Looking for info on an old Savage

Hey guys, I came across an old Savage Sporter in 32-20 a few years back and was wondering if anyone knows of a site that offers history on these. Compared to what I seen them going for on the auction sites, I'm into it pretty good. Remarkably, it still shoots well and is unaltered. Any help would be great.
