New Mossberg 151
« on: April 03, 2004, 03:53:41 PM »
I picked up this Mossberg 151M(b) at a gunshop a few weeks ago and just got around to cleaning it up. It had quite a bit of surface rust on it, and it was filthy (like all used guns seem to be anymore). It appealed to me though because it was complete with the S-130 rear sight and was priced right at $125.00. So many of these that I see for sale are missing the rear sight or the front sight hoods, or both. this one cleaned up to very nearly excellent condition.
It is however missing both the swivels, as are all of these rifles that I see for sale. Does anyone know where to get a set of these swivels?

Dave

Yup... Mine is mising the front hood. You will love that old mossy. I dont seem to see many of the 151's around here. Mine was bought by my grandfather new and still shoots great after an untold amount of ammo has been through it. It seems like the old mossy's are overlooked by most people for some reason. It's a shame as they are very good guns and are usually low priced when you do see one for sale. :D
