I have to agree with Monte on this one. My Grandfather passed away almost two years ago and I did not get any of the few guns he had. At least not yet, but I do have one that belonged to my wifes Grandfather. His guns were given to her father. A few years ago my father-in-law decided to go ahead and give those out to the family and I got a Stevens 311A 12ga and so far I have yet to shoot it. My father-in-law passed away on the first day of November this past year and I can tell you this gun is going nowhere.
Besides everyone needs a .22 so if you have others that maybe you bought yourself sell those instead. In a few years you won't regret it.

If your not intrested in that 22 now, I gotta go along with the rest, grease it up good and put it away, you will have an intrest in it later, and "Grandpa's Gun" is nearly impossible to replace.

I hope you take to heart what these guys are saying. That blueing that's rubbed off; That's from your Grandfather using it. He's left his mark on that gun and that is part of your family history.

That gun belongs to your children and grandchildren, it's just yours to use for now. I know it looks like money now, but just hang on to it for 20yrs.

But, if it is still up for sale, I"ll "raise" Loyd's bid by $50!

I have one of these and I'll never ever sell it even though I don't shoot it much. I like it just 'cause its a Colt and its a real pleasure to plink with.

Since you're determined to sell it, take your time and watch the market. I'd suggest you put it on an auction with a high reserve and get all you can out of it. Some body will grab it up pretty quick I bet - assuming its in good condition. Watch Gun Broker and Auction Arms to see what they go for first.
