That's a nice looking piece.  Is the red dot magnified?  I am considering the Bushnell red dot for mine.

Handirifle, the dot is just a 30.00 bsa from Wallyworld. No magnification in it. I put it on before the last hunting season to see if I would like a dot compared to a scope. The dot is easier to me to keep still and use a little faster. I have put over 500 rounds on this one and for a cheap one it's held up so far. The Bushnell with the 4 reticles would be a good one. If my bsa quits that's what I would probably get. I like the idea of the crosshairs on that one. You will get alot of opinions about going bigger cal on here but I can tell you if you get the 357 shooting good you'll be alright. The way I look at it I enjoy shooting 2-357's I own and probably shoot them better because of it. A 454 or 480 or 44 wouldn't get shot as much at my house. I've seen guys who shoot these a couple times a year and they don't shoot so well hunting season.

Handirifle those dots are BSA RD30 You can find them anywhere reasonable. Get the one for 7/8'' dovetail or labeled weaver style mount. The other size is 3/8'' dovetail for 22 caliber size guns. :-)

Thanks.  It's good to see something inexpensive holds up.
