Keurig frustration..
« on: Today at 05:37:09 AM »
My son has had it with Keurig coffee dispensers.  He has used them for years, and it seems they are becoming less and less durable as time goes on.

Originally, thy would last a couple years, then just a few months, the last one, bought for his studio, lasted only a month and about 2-3 cups of coffee.

It is not the water, since he has a filtration/purification system.

Normally, he would just toss the old one and buy new...which he did with the others.

Finally, with his last one going only a couple or three cups, on principle he called their warranty service, and got a whole range of excuses from them, even after sending photos of the sales slip and other required documentation..

Naturally, the person he talked to on the phone sounded like a refugee from Bangladesh, who kept spouting the same phrases over and over, along with a refusal.

I used to have a Keurig, and I have water heavy with lime, so I cleaned it often.  ..But being as I live alone and only drink 1 or 2 cups of coffee per day, I found a better answer for my personal usage, since an open jar or bag of coffee goes stale before I reach bottom.

I have gone to the small packets of Tasters Choice instant coffee, and am well pleased with them. It is just as good as brewed to my taste ! Other brands offer such packets also. However for some reason, the Tasters Choice packets seem to have double the amount of others, providing 2 cups per packet.
