   Tha deranged madman was stopped before he reached the president or any of the cabinet.  Some would say that is success..

   Success baloney!   That was an abject failure IMO..  He should not have gotten anywhere near his goal.  Three times now they failed, just not to the point of disaster.

Not only did the guy get into the building with a firearm. The SS missed him with how many shooting at him?   Have to wonder if the SS agent that was shot, was shot by friendly fire. The SS is just another inept branch of the government.

 Try again. Just tried to post to this and it went into thin air. The guy supposedly checked into the hotel, the day before. Had a shotgun and a pistol. I would have thought that security would have been tripled a couple days before to check for this. An event like this is scheduled months ahead, so not a last minute thing. SS person was shot in the chest with a shotgun, bullet proof vest stopped that. And why didn't they get some extra LE to help out. They keep saying that there isn't enough SS men, pay some local police or sheriff's to fill in.

           They returned fire but no one hit him.  A person who worked for the motel saw him assembling his firearms.
 I do not think the President was high on his list of people he wanted to shoot.

           Listening to Jesse Waters babbling on Fox yesterday, it seems that some of Fox persons are as much babbling
 morons as though on CNN.

  Would it not be a good idea to arm some of Trump's cabinet members for such events?  How about at least the veterans there?  There are several members  who are
    veterans, to include Collins, Gabbard, Greer, Hegseth,, Mullin and Zelden.

  Surely such combat veterans as Pete Hegseth  (101st airborne and 75 Ranger Bn), Markwayne Mullin (3rd Special Forces Group)  and Lee Zeldin (82nd Airborne)

   Surely, they would be a great "last  ditch" protection team.

If the secret service does not fix their complete ineptness. Trump will be dead. There will certainly be more attempts on his life. All the democrats could care less if the SS is in complete shambles, and I believe many republicans could care less either. Really what has been done since he was almost killed in Butler?  The investigation into the Thomas Crooks attempt on Trump was and is still a joke. We are told that the investigation is still on going. Wanna bet we never hear anything more about it?  No one went to jail. The deputy director of the SS even stated we are not going to fire our way out of this.

Since Lee Harvey, there has been a lot of time for corruption to dig its roots in. The attempt on Trumps life in Butler was beyond just people making mistakes. I think there had to be people on the inside that made it happen.
