Regional pricing
« on: April 22, 2026, 07:34:30 PM »
( Hey ! I managed to actually log in !  :D)

I ocassionally trade emails with folks across
the country I ( slightly) knew from years of
dealing in the automotive industry.
Some still send this-n-that although I can't
recall in the slightest who they are.
One from left coast L.A. area was posting
about gasoline, nearly $7.00gal nearby, and
the usual yardstick, eggs at $7.00-$9.00 dz.

That's crazy IMO because gas is more than
double what it is here local, and eggs are
more than triple dz over what they are here.

That's regional gouging, and definitely not
at the direction of POTUS D.J.T. like
they all say.
Yet I here the T.D.S. echoing at day's end
all the time here lately.
I would think that in this day of accessable
internet every 20 feet in urban areas that
informed people would check what
prices for goods and services in different
locales would be

Those in blue states like California have voted in the government they have and now probably couldn’t vote them out due to election rigging

( the news story today chapped a lot of azzes )

Today the big story in this region was a gasoline
pricing war among many stations.
The "winner" was east of here selling regular
grade gasoline at $1.77gal
I'm not sure how many realized that the stations
weren't going in the hole selling at that price,
but that the regular retail is gouging by the
middleman ( just like the pharmacies)
I'm sure that many T.D.S. infected people
also realized that POTUS D.J.T. isn't the
cause of high prices, and were angry because
the blame can't be laid at his feet.

Oh well . . . .

They are selling at a loss at that price.  The markup on gas (at the station is quite small).  They are NOT making a dollar or more on a gallon.  However, this will be good for that station in the long run and they will make money on everything else they sell.  They certainly won't be able to do that for very long.  Probably only a day or less.

newsome has to pay for his 2000 dollar suits and 1000 dollar suppers and probably a 1000 dollars a month in hair jell!! 1.77!! that has to be the cheapest gas station in the country. 3.79 here in town but this tourist trap is always 5-10 cents a gallon then it is 30 miles away
