Conservatism vs Libertarianism, no contest..
« on: Yesterday at 08:19:52 AM »
  I am a solid Conservative, and although Conservatism has many elements of Libertarianism, pure Libertarianism just doesn't work in the real world..

  The primary difference seems to be as I like to put it.  Conservatism is Libertarianism with values and a conscience !

   Libertarianism seems to be infused with the idea that each person is an island, not responsible for, or even concerned with others.

  Like it or not, each of us is part of a population, which requires a moral code, plus group effort for certain tasks that no man by himself, can accomplish alone.

  Here is the result of hundreds of Libertarians, taking over a small New Hampshire town, and ruining it !     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG3rLciXnnQ

  In the case cited above, some of the Libertarians would not even take their garbage to the dump, and they seemed to 5think that if the garbage stayed on their land
   even near their neighbor's home, that was perfectly OK..

   Naturally, this drew all kinds of company, from rats, to cats, to foxes and bears..  So what was the answer for some?  Go out and kill bears, and the easiest way to find them was when they were denned up for the winter..

   Suppose the whole group decided to "live off the land" for their protein.  How long would the game animals last?

    Seems like the highway police are running into the same attitudes these days, with the new class called "sovereign citizens", who don't think the rules apply to them.

  They seem to obtain their legal advice from some homemade barrister, operating on line from his Mama's basement.

  They are sovereign citizens, and they are not driving, but rather "travelling".  Some of the most egregious, seem to be of "Moorish nation" descent, who way back in
   the dawn of US history, worked a mystical "treaty' with the US government, insuring their independence.

   Of course, many are not Moorish, but are still very independent !  :D ;D   Below is a sample;
