wife said we dont spend enough time together
« on: January 25, 2026, 11:57:29 PM »
she said i "should" go grocery shopping and take her to lunch. i HATE going to any store. well i sat in the truck because my back was to bad to walk around the store. then took her to burger king for lunch ;) told her it was romantic because i usually use the drive through :o then on the way home we passed the harley shop and i told her to turn around so i could look around. came home owning this. its a 24 but brand new. my first new harley. they made me a hell of a deal on it. id call that date day some real quality time!!! ;D asked if i could go again next month because id love to have a hellcat!! she said 2 bad words she never uses the last one being "you" :o

Ain't it obvious?  Get a king & queen seat for the trike, and start taking her out for dinner and an ice cream once-in-a-while.

Just suggesting.....Roger

already bought the seat to keep her happy.  rekluce automatic clutch too to help my mangled clutch hand. vance and hines  exhaust a sceaming eagle air cleaner and an auto tuner. back rest for both of us and a luggage rack. thetre installing all of it before they deliver it, guy said it will eat my 96 in fatboy for lunch. thought about keeping mine and getting the full blown touring one but id feel and look as old as i am riding it. this thing is hot rod enough looking where i dont need two and it did make the wife happy because i struggled sometimes with my bad legs and was to the point i would take a passenger on it. now she can come along. believe it or not she still thinks some young chick is going to seduce my ugly old ass!!

I find it refreshing that your lady still wants you. I find it refreshing, as stupid as I am that my lady still wants me.. I already went through 2 ladies who would have put my sorry butt in a nursing home before they would wipe up to change the first diaper. Mine wants me with her even through the bad times.

That does look like a nice trike, I keep thinking about getting one myself, but I won't, I'm too addicted to tractors!

Every time I get some money, I buy another one.

Nice looking trike ! I'm surprised she didn't question how you expect to ride a bike, when you can't ride one of those store supplied electric riders to sop with her ! ;D

In any case, enjoy the bike, the anticipation helps to ease the way into spring & summer.

A little hint..spend much available time with your wife.  I did with mine, but now I wish I had been even more attentive. Going on to 9 years now that she died, and it
seems I miss her now, more than ever !

I often spend time now reminiscing, savoring those past years...right from the day we first met as teenagers. I'm not buying many things/toys these days, even though
I could.  Fact is I have started giving things away.

Last year i gave my scooter to my grand daughter and her husband. I've been giving thing to those who I want to have certain articles, treasures, etc.

As I recall, I have seen people do this just prior to their parting this world. ...Could be that's what I am doing, since I can't explain the urge..

In any case, if I am leaving this world, I will be going into a far better one! ...There to see my wife and long departed son, along with many others, never again to part.

i think youve known me long enough to know id crawl on my hands and knee's in a store befor driving a shopping scooter thing! it would be right up there with going to one of those food pantrys for a handout! might not pound to many miles on the new bike this summer because right now the backs so bad i can barely get from the chair to bed . i see the surgeon next week and probably schedule back surgery #13 (bad luck one) :o

Nice looking trike Lloyd. My youngest son bought me a '96 Sporty for my 65th birthday, don't ride as much but still put 1,000 miles or so on a year. Enjoy it, and do spend some time with your wife. Mine decided 13 years ago she was tired of me, and got a much better lawyer than I did. After filing bankruptcy and almost losing my house, I've come to the conclusion that at 70 years old, the only thing that's female that will spend more than a night in my house, will have 4 legs and bark at squirrels.
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

i had one cluster ---- of a marriage! this wife isnt perfect but im a far cry from it too and shes light years better than the first. but i will say if she got called home there wouldnt even be sleep overs. probably not even a date. as much as i love dogs and how big a part they played in my life my labs 9 and when he gets called home he will be my last dog. there just to much work and restrict your freedom. but ill miss having one because its probably the only pure love youll ever have in your life
