The Original Ken: 1942 - 2004
« on: March 29, 2004, 07:00:20 AM »
Shooters:  We have lost an old friend, and I am saddened by his passing.  Ken Stufft, who we knew as The Original Ken, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2004.

He was a good man, a Constitutionalist and a firm advocate of the 2nd Amendment and the shooting sports.  I never knew him to ride the fence, he always made his position known and he was never an advocate of increased fees or licensing or any further restrictions on our right to keep and bear arms.

He worked in a liberal law office and was always explaining his positions and beliefs to his co-workers.  Fortunately for us he was a good spokesman and had converted a number of his co-workers to a shooter's perpective of reality.

He leaves behind his wife, and a lot of good friends.  I'm going to miss him and his posts, and I will remember him.  I know he valued his privacy and the security of this web-site, so I am not too sure how he might feel about condolences to his family.  If I can get any more information that I can share, I will do so, let you know, and send condolences.

Dang!  Mikey.

Mikey, very true words, I knew Ken personally.  We "met" however on this forum, and later realized that we lived in the same town and even belonged to the same shooting club.

Ken often encouraged my shooting, he convinced me to be that one handed shooting with iron sights is the way to go.  Always a positive attitude and helpful.

He is sincerely missed in this neck of the woods.

I'm truly sorry to hear that Ken has passed away. I never knew him personally or met him but did swap some e-mails and PMs with him and did think highly of him from that contact. I've wondered why I hadn't seen much from him of late.

Please pass on my condolences to his family.
