« on: December 15, 2025, 10:37:43 AM »

Made by the thousands and air dropped to the French maquis during WW2...  45 ACP..single shot..but still a welcome gift to the disarmed French underground.

The .45 ACP..still strong medicine, particularly at short range.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4zivy9WwnI

..And it looks like there is substantial felt recoil..  Is that true ?

Apparently the C IA developed a replacement, but it saw virtually no service and didn't last long. Frankly, to me it doesn't look like it is half what the original was..

Yes; getting rid of the local Nazi chief, was no doubt, worth far more to the Maquis, than any recoil inconvenience.   :D ;D
