With No Congressional Declaration of War this is looking more, and more like the LBJ, and Bush modus operandi of the past.
A "police action" costing billions to interfere in another countries business, while bypassing Congress.
Quite impressive military video of troops repelling out of hovering helicopters onto the ship and taking it over.

It must suck going thru life with the hatred you obviously have in you. You seem to be trying to pick a fight with most of the members here, hate your country and its government and only find love for Texas it seems.

Actually I love my country, and hate war. Over 58,200 American soldiers died in the Vietnam war, and we lost the war. 2,459 soldiers died in the 20 year Afghanistan debacle, with very little accomplished, and 4,572 soldiers died in Iraq and we left that country in chaos. I had a son in those last 2 wars, and I put value on the soldiers that are sent to war over political vendettas, and meddling in other countries affairs.
When I see crippled veterans, I get mad that their life was so affected over a political goal that was eventually abandoned, never accomplished, and then their sent home, for themselves, and their families  to deal with the aftermath.
I served my country for 21 years, and listened to the sarcasm, and hatred for cops on the streets, and here.
That you misinterpret my reluctance to send soldiers into combat without a clearly defined goal, void of politics, with a worthwhile mission, as anti American, and unpatriotic is unfortunate, and couldn't be farther from the truth.

I'd like to further address your accusal Bill.
To anyone here whom might think I'm trying to pick a fight with them.
First of all, I voted for Trump 3 times, and would likely vote for him again if he could run. But I don't worship him, and give him carte blanche for everything he does.
I refer to the United States as the "Un-United States" because it is deeply divided. A stolen election, and a plethora of Biden/Harris voters are visible everyday proof of that.
I have, or had, family members that were in every war the United States has been in. I presently have family in the military, and law enforcement, and fully support all.
But the United States Congress has not issued a Declaration of War since June of 1942. Its all been police actions issued by presidents, and 65,000 men and and women have died, with many more forever scarred, and maimed.
I'm 75 years old, and we have been doing police action combat missions against someone almost my entire life.
The Constitution says that only Congress can declare war, not presidents. Any president.
This Venezuelan thing isn't about the drugs. Its about regime change.
Politicians are quick to start wars, and  police actions,  but the soldier does the fighting, and the price paying, and their the folks I support. If that makes me appear,  or seem unpatriotic,  so be it.
So Bill, I'm not going through life filled with hatred, and I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone. Including you. I'm sharing  my opinion  on current  issues.
And my opinion is, is that we should go back to the Constitution, and the Bible. All of it, in both cases.
You control the GBO switch. On everyone here, including me.
