 Not sure what news site I seen this on, first thing I thought of Dee. Just another ''government idea'', that will no doubt be another money laundering scheme. Billions going to Somali's in MN., billions going overseas as foreign aid, much of it coming back to the politicians that voted for it.

Wow,  have you guys even read about what this is? It's of no value to me as we're long past child bearing age.

It's a move to help simulate an increase in child birth of US Citizens ONLY. It is being added to by big money folks in addition to what the government adds. It can't be touched to remove money from it until the child reaches adulthood at which time who knows what the value will be for them. Parents and grandparents can add to it.

Kids from poor families will likely not see much added other than from the government and wealthy philanthropists but some kids will have a large down payment on a home by the time they can access it.

Better use of our tax dollars than subsidizing obumacare or sending it overseas.

  I'd have better feelings about it, if it was privatized and kept out of politicians hands. AND, audited every year to make sure none of it was going for fraudulent purposes.

They said the same thing about Social Security, can't be touched. That worked out real well. So the government is adding a 401k to new borns. Another government give-away. Perfect! The government already increases welfare when recipients add babies to their litter. Now the little cusses get a free 401k to go along  with mommas welfare check.
Lets see, with the government/congress overseeing this new program, what could possibly go wrong?
How many government employees are gonna have to be hired to oversee this new "Handout Program". All getting government salaries, government benefits, family insurance plans, offices,  vehicles,  it has no end. Who and how many will it require to investigate, and monitor whether applicants are deserving, or even legitimate recipients?
The congress has this country 38 trillion dollars in debt, so lets add another giveaway program. Mexican nationals, and Muslims will love this program. They reproduce like rabbits. .
I'd rather see this imaginary money go to paying down the debt, but hey. Imaginary money ain't worth much.
If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Trump has 3 more years, then it's going on further south.
