By the time I ate my sandwich they cut in and
said that the guardsmen had died of their wounds.

In his earlier conference he'd said that the
guardsmen were killed.
Now the line is that they're in critical condition.
Great news that they're not dead,  extremely

The "news " that the perpetrator is severely
wounded and in LE custody hasn't changed

I thought the original visa was to help Afghans who worked for the US, then they could APPLY for permanent status - giving time to completely vet them.

  I may have missed something, but it seems now that up to 22 million illegals have already entered our country, it may be a tougher job than it was when they were crossing in 2021..

  For vetting, it seems it would then have been a simpler job to have him provide the name/number of the US unit he served with.. then check with that unit and/or personnel ! ...And if he was lying, out he goes, back to the rockpile !
