Is Trump turning his back on his true friends
« on: Today at 03:12:42 AM »
President Donald Trump on Monday said he's withdrawing his endorsement of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., calling her "Wacky" and ripping her constant "complaining." (My words in bold)

Trump posted on Truth Social that the rupture began recently after years of political closeness, going back to when he sent her an internal poll showing she had little chance in a statewide race without his support.

He said the Georgia congresswoman has been angry that he no longer returns her calls. (He's a fool for not)

Greene once championed Trump through two impeachments and echoed his election fraud claims. (A true friend to Trump)

She frequently traveled to his rallies and embraced the role of one of his most outspoken defenders in Congress.

Advisers to both said she framed many of her legislative fights as extensions of Trump's agenda.

In recent days, however, the two have butted heads on policy and political strategy. (Mostly about Israel)

Trump has grown irritated with Greene's attacks on GOP leadership, which he believes weaken party unity.

Greene has complained on social media that Trump is too open to certain spending compromises and obsessed with foreign policy versus her "America Only" agenda. Well, he ran on the America first agenda)

Trump has dismissed those complaints and told allies she is creating distractions for personal attention.

Tensions escalated after Greene appeared on ABC's "The View," which Trump and his MAGA followers have mocked as hostile to conservatives. ( I watched that episode, and didn't see it that way)

People close to Trump said he viewed the appearance as proof she had "gone far left." ( I hate to think it, but he acting like he has gone too far Neo!)

Trump said on social media that "wonderful, Conservative people" in her Georgia district are considering primary challenges in 2026.

He said he would give his "Complete and Unyielding Support" to the right candidate. (Green didn't change) You have!

Greene has not publicly responded to Trump's criticism, although she has cheered the president lately, especially after the government reopened.

Tough times ahead for the GOP in my view. I'm sure some of you on the forum will now throw some darts my way for thinking this way!

Not me. Trump is yielding to politics vs real hard line supporters.

From the outside looking in, my first impulse was the old expression; "if you can't say something positive about her, just don't say anything at all".

..But then again, as you mentioned above..." Trump has grown irritated with Greene's attacks on GOP leadership, which he believes weaken party unity."

Perhaps he feels the need to speak to her.

However I wish he would do it privately, since the Dems can run good candidates down enough, without the Reps aiding them in doing so, through either Trump or Greene.

Trumps comments were obviously intended to strip Greens support base.

That's the way I see it. Believe me, I didn't want to believe Trump would ever go along to get along, but I cannot see it any other way. You don't turn on friends who have been your BIGGEST supporters, and forget all they have done for you, and toss them aside.
He ran on the idea of America first. "Not Allies first" Do the damn job we, your true friends elected you to do.

He has never been one to take criticism well, but he is now taking it to another level.

It's his ego showing. He's back tracked on so many issue's, and when he gets called out on it, he immediately jumps up and criticizes whoever stood their ground. Few months ago, he slammed Israel for not trying to compromise with people in Gaza. Now he's working with them for a 20 year contract instead of a 10 year contract for military aid to keep things going over their. Look what happened between him and Musk. People are getting wise to his shifting stance.
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

There is a lot of Trump Derangment Syndrome,  but there is also a lot of Trump Our Savior worship that will defend anything he says, or does.
Like blowing up alleged drug boats 2,500 miles from our shores, and telling Nigeria we may send troops into their country if they don't straighten up. Or tryin to kill Majorie Taylor Greenes political career.
MEXICO is how the drugs are coming into the country. REGARDLESS OF ORIGIN. And Marjorie Taylor Greene is calling out weak sister two-faced RINO Republicans.
