From Dee, and he does make a good point..
Which in turn reminds me of the obnoxious runt bragging t dynamite comes in small packages, then while the bigger guy is beating his ass continually telling to "blow up peewee,"
...And it usually goes that way... But forgive me, I was thinking of specific cases.. My grandson, the one recently ordained, was rather on the smallish side, until his last couple high school years. ..But he was a couple times, faced with 3-4 bullies, and each group only once.
One day I asked him how he handled it. He told me that he would just pick out the leader (usually the largest) and whip him..the rest would fade away.
Of course they didn't necessarily know he had a couple bigger brothers who were tough athletes, and he practice fought with regularly.
He had anger issues during his teenage years, so when he was attending college he fought in MMA (mixed martial arts) and became known
as "ground 'em and pound 'em Josiah).
Guess he figured, when you get them off their feet, one man is as tall as the other, and only real fighting knowledge works. !
In any case, he has long ago settled his anger issues..and now is serving God. People now stop by his coffee shop for a moment of prayer with him.
Actually, being the "big guy" in a fight, is a challenging situation. I turned away a fight one day while serving in the Army. The man who challenged me, was much smaller, so thinking it through the end result came to me...
If I beat him, the only result would be that I would be considered a bully at best. On the other hand, if he somehow got in a lucky shot and KOed me..being the DI, I would have to hang my head in shame..
Otherwise, i guess i could have spanked him...but what would that prove ? Bully again ?
