Wokeism; searching for it's roots..
« on: November 03, 2025, 04:05:13 AM »
Being completely candid, I must admit that "wokeism" has had me quite confused, as to it's origins, thought processes, logic and justification..

Recently I came upon an author named Helen Andrews.  Helen is a prolific writer of commentaries etc.  She wrote a book called "Boomers", explaining how the Boomer    generation changed the nature of western society, for the good or bad.

Along with raising a family, she is a past editor of AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE and the WASHINGTON EXAMINER..

Here, in an hour long interview, she offers the results of her investigations into wokeism, it's origin, reasons and ramifications.
..
If you are as curious as I have been, as to this movement's genesis, you may wish to check this video discussion out.

Warning; it is aimed at intellectuals, an  may boring to some viewers, but it will definitely update one's knowledge as to the roots and reasoning(?) of the wokeists.

It's just Feminism with another Liberal name.

Feminism has ruined everything it has touched. The Bible is very plain in it's plan for Man, and Woman. We don't follow his way anymore, and we are reaping what we have sown. But We Be Woke! :o
Here is an example ..... First female Archbishop of Canterbury is ...Sarah Mullally:
The Church of England is led by the new Archbishop of Canterbury, who is the senior spiritual leader. She isn't a Biblical Leader. That's for sure. I think she might be just a tad WOKE!
the right/left yardstick is a French Revolution-born human measure. It reflects the political spectrum, which is determined by the people’s range of beliefs. Christians, however (and everyone, in fact), should make Truth their yardstick. This inerrant guide doesn’t compromise and build consensus, either; it’s not a politician. It dictates where reality lies. And in a civilization claiming 2+2=5, it’s with the “extremist” who insists it’s 4. For God’s realism so often is man’s radicalism.

Its also stems from the religion of self worship.
Those people who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants.    Wm. Penn

According to Helen, it comes directly from the rise of feminism, and their inability to face facts, rather than feelings. Not the old feminism, which was confusing enough, but a new "woke" installation.

Women as opposed to men, generally tend to think emotionally, rather than factually, so this new breed is very confused.

They can for instance, sympathize with a most ugly killer just as easily as with his victim, because of their "feelings'.  Feelings triumph facts or data, which is why they will not debate an issue, but rather seek ways to suppress or "cancel" others' point of view, if it is based on fact.   Butt hurt feelings cannot win a debate against facts !

No surprise that we find so many jokes on how to reason with a woman..or just how inscrutable the female mind is..  Only perhaps 10%  of women actually think logically.

Brash women, aided by feminized, ineffectual men, are the core of wokeism.

Here is a shorter, encapsulated video, where Helen expounds upon her research;  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sstIyqsuYI
