Proof Women used bad drugs in the early Sixties
« on: Yesterday at 02:12:49 PM »
I thought these were hideous I was a teenager; that any women wore these on here head - too many drugs can be the only reason!

And the dude who probably sold them the drugs.

I'm 75 years old and thankfully never saw any of these hair DOs. :-\

Never dealt with any like that personally, but I was somewhat taken back by some  "country music" ladies of the 1960s.

Wayne Cochran did have some strange
hair styles. Many say that Elvis copied
much of his dancing moves and wardrobe
ideas. He left the music/entertainment
business to start a ministry and did that
until his death

In my early school daze, many teachers had
the exaggerated beehive hairdos like
Marge Simpson

Well, on the bright side, they could change their hair style, and go back and look normal. Now days, with tattoo's, gauge's in their ear or nose, body mutilation because they don't know what sex they are, lip and butt implants, their pretty much stuck into being a side show freak we use to pay a quarter to see when the circus came to town.
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

Fads..they come and go ! Sometimes old duffers such as myself, are puzzled by them, but soon brush them aside..

I can recall when jeans were narrow cuffed, the wider cuffs, then bell bottoms..now they are back to the skinny legs..with added elasticity !

It has been some time now, that folks have been paying big money for worn out jeans..the ones that look like the ones I used to throw out, when I was building silos..or working in the brickyard..   :D ;D

My younger son used comment that I was never in style.  Its literally been, boots, jeans, and cowboy hat since birth. My dad bought me my first pair of boots when I was 7 or 8 days old. Mom used to laugh about holding them on my feet when they toted me around. I don't know why he did that, but it turned into a habit 75 years ago, and I haven't changed my foot wear.
Several years ago I also took to wearing a vest. I don't much care about style changes, and I fit in pretty much where I live because most workin folks around here dress the same.

My 7th great grand child is due in February, and I'm told it's a boy. Linda and I went to Amarillo last Saturday and bought him 2 pairs of boots. One pair not for walking, and a bigger pair for when he learns to.
