The Deal of The Century
« on: October 12, 2025, 11:45:54 PM »
That's what they're calling it. Trump negotiated the end of the Israeli/Palestinian War. All 20 of the "living" hostages are freed, and the "dead" hostages, well they say they're freed to.  :-\
I personally believe that this will fester again, and once again, the Muslims will prove themselves incapable of ignoring the truth that they are the dogs of war.
Not to be a Bible thumper in this Potbellied Stove Forum, but ever since ABRAHAM had his little fling with Saras housekeeper, the little bastards offspring have been causing trouble in the middle east, and are as predicted, expanding their mischief. A FACT that has been for several thousand years. And now we have the "ABRAHAM ACCORDS". Hmmm
So, my advice to Americans is: keep your gun clean and watch your 6, and Israel? I wouldn't get too comfortable with this latest peace game. Nobody actually killed the snake, he just agreed to quit biting folks.  For now.
ALSO, there is a certain amount of  "HERO WORSHIP " growing that makes me a little nervous on an entirely different plain.
In the meantime, thank you Donnie, but lets get back to America FIRST!

Live hostages have been returned. They are now safely in Israeli hands. Dead ones have not been returned and it doesn't appear any real schedule has been give on that.

Those folks have been fighting each other for 2000 years. This is temporary, at best.
As far as the speeches go, I’ll wait for the Clif notes version, thankyouverymuch.

I too believe it is temporary.  However, when Trump leaves office, it may not hold.  The one thing Trump wanted was for development of Gaza under supervision, so resorts, hotels, etc, may be built and a tourist economy.  Maybe just build a factory, say a clothing factory, so they can have decent jobs and not any time to make bombs and rockets.  A lot of these Palestinians have left and may not come back, hopefully.

The old Isaac or Ishmael thing has been ongoing for about 4,000 years..the Islam distortion came into play about 1400 years ago.

I don't expect it to stop any time soon..  However, this may give Israel a bit of "breathing room' to readjust it's tactics.

The potential  for Gaza was great when the strip was handed over in 2005....on the promise of "land for peace"..  There is still much potential there, but first they
will have to rebuild the buildings and infrastructure, before they can consider moving in a large commercial way.

They have some prime beach front real estate on the eastern end of the Mediterranean...should be great for surf boarding and various other beach activities.

It is indeed sad that those same folks cannot learn to love their land more than they hate the Israelis !
