Michigan church shot up and burned
« on: September 28, 2025, 11:15:12 AM »
Haven't heard much of anything on this end
other than a man rammed a truck through a
brick wall, shot 10 killed 2 and set the church
ablaze.
Criminal dead by police.
They managed to slip "military style rifle " in
there, but left most everything else hazy.
Supposed to be a Michigan man, and that's
basically it.
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Multiple Victims in Shooting, Fire at Michigan Church

Police say one person was killed and nine injured in a shooting at a Mormon church in Michigan, and the suspect is also dead.
The shooting happened Sunday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, about 50 miles north of Detroit, Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye told reporters. The church was also set ablaze.

Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public. Authorities have not released details on the surviving victims' conditions.

The church, circled by a parking lot and a large lawn, is located near residential areas and a Jehovah’s Witness church in Grand Blanc. The community of roughly 8,000 people is just outside Flint.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said in a statement that her heart is breaking for the Grand Blanc community. “Violence anywhere especially in a place of worship, is unacceptable,” she said.

The shooting occurred the morning after Russell M. Nelson, the oldest-ever president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died at 101. The next president of the faith, known widely as the Mormon church, is expected to be Dallin H. Oaks, per church protocol.

"I have been briefed on the horrendous shooting that took place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Grand Blanc, Michigan," President Trump said in a statement on Truth Social. "The FBI was immediately on scene, and will be leading the Federal Investigation, and providing full support to State and Local Officials. The suspect is dead, but there is still a lot to learn.

"This appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States of America. The Trump Administration will keep the Public posted, as we always do. In the meantime, PRAY for the victims, and their families. THIS EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY MUST END, IMMEDIATELY!"

"We are tracking reports of the horrific shooting and fire at an LDS church in Grand Blanc, Michigan," FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on social media. "FBI agents are on the scene to assist local authorities. Violence in a place of worship is a cowardly and criminal act. Our prayers are with the victims and their families during this terrible tragedy."

Heard that on the radio, said he was a marine, or former marine.

The shootings are the smallest part of it. He used some kind of explosive device to set the building on fire and an unknown number of folks were trapped in the building and died from the fire. The entire building burned. Anyone down stairs assuming there was one no doubt died. From the last report on FOX they are expecting a lot more deaths.

Former Marine drives his pickup into Mormon church, shoots it up with a rifle, then takes a can of plain ole gasoline and burns the place down.
Its just that simple, when your dealing with sheep, and there aren't any shepherds around.

One article, I believe on Brietbart said he was a 40 year old Marine vet from Afghanistan, had PTSD real bad according to relatives. Hard telling what goes threw a man's head considering what he might have seen or done. Doesn't make it right, but more help to our veterans should be more of a priority than helping illegals or foreign country's!
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

I wonder a lot about this ptsd, and why so many ex military members have it. My youngest son had 2 combat tours in Iraq, and 1 in Afghanistan. He won't go to a VA because they want to give him drugs, and talk about his ptsd. When he mustered out of the 82nd Airborne as a SSgt, he got his college degree, and makes a really good living.
My now deceased uncle came out of WWII with 7 Bronze Stars, 2 Bronze Arrows, and a Purple Heart. None of the family knew it until he was in his 90s. He came home from the war, married, and had a family.
Neither he, nor my son, have, or had, a stress reliever dog, nor sported one of those veteran ball caps, nor  took  antidepressants for their experiences in the wars.
I've had 2 doctors who knew about my law enforcement service record because of my medical records that mentioned that I likely had ptsd. They immediately became my former doctor.
I truly don't know what to think of this ptsd epidemic. I wonder about the indoctrination VA doctors are giving our veterans,  and the drugs they're telling  them  they  need, for this ptsd they are telling them they have?

Actually, many..or most.. come home without PTSD. My grandson seems to have accumulated none of those ill effects so far.

However, as one poster told me years ago, right here on GBO...  Picture such trauma going into each warfighter, and it gets put into storage, in a pail withinn the

warrior's body (or mind)...  Some have a larger pail than others..  Just a greater tolerance for such trauma..

Sure; some may fake it..but that is not a good move, since it can limit options..  Still, I won't ridicule any of them, since I would rathe one get away with something..that to hinder the recovery of a genuine case.
The big crime in my eyes, is handing over all kinds of bennies to the criminals who sneaked into our country...while many of our own veterans suffer !
