Shopping Walmart
« on: September 08, 2025, 11:42:17 AM »
I remember the good old days shopping Walmart. Back when Sam Walton was running things and not his offspring. back when Walmart's motto was "WE WILL NOT BE UNDERSOLD" It said it....Right above the doors.

Just a few minutes ago I was online looking at Walmart's clothing for children. Looking to buy some back to school for the G Grandkids.
Doing my shopping when suddenly they ran a public service announcement saying 'We Support Our Black Communities. A whole page dedicated to only Black people. Walmart can kiss my A...Uh Grits. What ever happened to supporting ALL local communities?

There is a Walmart Supercenter in a town called Dumas in the Texas panhandle. You should visit that store sometime. You will escape that store, never to complain about the one nearest you again.

The whole country is changing, and in my opinion, not for the better. Your complaint is about a companys right to support whatever they want. Hey! Its America. Freedom of speech, land of the free, and I'm just trying to get through it without getting mugged, murdered, or having to shoot somebody. It ain't gonna get no better.  8)

Its easy to spot the ebt card carriers. Their carts are filled to the max with 8 packs of 20oz soda bottles hanging off the sides.  I try not to shop as much anymore at walmart. I travel a bit further distance and shop at a shop and save, which is a locally owned store.

We have two stores for shopping , Walmart and HEB, both are liberal, woke establishments. What does a person do?

I don't care what their politics are. I go get what I need from whomever has it.

I'm not too much into the mix, but it appears Amazon and E-bay and other on-line shopping venues, are running Walmart, Target etc.nuts !

..And that is to say nothing about the struggling Mom & Pop enterprises !

Walmart is online also.

I go there for their groceries due to their variety, and used to go to there home and garden section in the spring when they , over a decade ago,  also had a huge variety.

Yep down here on the Texas coast not much variety when shopping. No mom and pop stores, there's dollar tree, dollar general and such. On the grocery side you're pretty much limited to Walmart or HEB. Unless you make a trip to Corpus Christi but to much trouble for me.

Been ringing the bell for The Salvation Army for 5-6 years, only once in that time period have I went into a Walmart store we set up at. Needed 30% vinegar for my weed killer solution last spring. Couldn't find it in any local store, and didn't want to drive 20+ miles. Went thru the garden center since it was open, seasonal item, so found it right away, checked out at the garden gate, and left. Got enough left for next year. I do get a kick out of seeing the type of people that go there. While I'm ringing the bell, I see the 300+ fat lady in skin tight pink and white dotted leotards, the bearded lady, that looks like a man, but wearing skin tight jeans and high heels and a few other ''oddities'', walking in. Figure I'm saving a quarter that I use to pay when the circus rolled in, and wanted to see the Side Show.
