EPA restrictions lifted

  Well, looks like some common sense is coming back. Looks like the fed's are removing the 2009 EPA restrictions on cars/trucks. Not sure if all of them, but it looks like it. As usual, let the government gets there greedy paws on something and they muck it up. If the car industry's had been left on their own, competition would have driven the market to more efficient engines. VW had a diesel car that got over 40 mpg over 20 years ago. Now, if they can keep their greedy hands off of it, we can make some progress.

The EPA like any other branch of government never gets any smaller. The EPA to justify its existence has to continue to write new laws which many are draconian, and ridiculous. Just a for instance. At the company I worked for we had two large screw air compressors. We also had a natural gas fired compressor for backup. One time both screw air compressors were down due to mechanical issues, so we were running the backup compressor. We had to shut the compressor down due to it reaching the limited number of hours it could run for the month, per EPA laws. But it was permissible to pull in a diesel fired compressor, hook it up to the station piping, and run it. Just made no sense at all.   I was hoping the Trump administration would real in some of the EPA's tyranny.

...and that tyrany we did not elect or vote for.  The EPA made it up, which most of it costs land developers and building owners millions of dollars.  And it isn't considered a tax, but I think it shouold be.
