Peterson Brass any good?
« on: Yesterday at 05:50:49 AM »
With the BR-3 working, loaded up some .308 and went to the range. H-4895 with Federal BR L.R. primers and Win.brass and Hornady BTHP match bullets Must have had an angel sitting on my shoulder, right at 1'' at 100 yds. Loaded up some more and go back out Monday and see what I can do at the 300-500 yd ranges. Now, to complicate things, ran out to Camp Perry and commercial row yesterday and got more bullets. Got lucky and a vendor there was almost $3 a box cheaper than mail order. Now, with my question, the vendor also sells the Peterson Brass. And they make both large rifle primer and small rifle primer match brass in .308. Have a bunch of factory and military so never paid attention to the brass he had. I go back on Monday, might just get some of the Peterson Brass. Any one here have any feed back?? Good-Bad ???

Never used any myself but haven't heard anything bad about it. Supposed to be premium stuff I believe.

Looked'em up. Brass may be a little softer, and case capacity might be less than other brands.

The vendor at C. Perry is Creedmore Sports, and pretty much specialize in long range stuff. That brass is pretty expensive, $54 for 50. Not sure I'm that good a shot to spend the money and possibly lose a round or 2 shooting in the grass. Take a pair of knee pads with me if I have to get on the ground and do some searching.
