New political party-C.O.S. or both
« on: July 12, 2025, 06:11:02 AM »
Well, lets keep stirring the pot. I've been looking at what a Convention of States meeting, which 34 is needed, and 28 have said yes, could possibly accomplish. Or, Musk's idea of a new political party. Myself, leaning towards a COS. Until you limit the power of Congress, you will have a good possibility that no matter what party is in charge, they can abuse their power. Look how the Democratic party has changed in our lifetime. JFK would fit right in with what most Republicans, at least on the outside, represent now. Doubt seriously if any of them will vote themselves term limits. Or no insider trading allowed. A few other items that need to be addressed. I understand what Musk would like to do, maybe if it's done right. But when I see other country's with 4-5-or 6 political party's, to me anyway, it just muddies up the water. Kinda like what Ross Perot did in the 90's. Any thoughts!

The founding fathers warned against any parties, but I doubt they could have even began to fathom what our government has become. Or then again, maybe they knew better than us.

A convention of states is a SUPER BAD IDEA. We would totally lose the Bill of Rights should it happen. Nothing good can or will come from such a thing. Talk about a way to end the US as it exists, that's the best possible way to do it.

Amen ! No constitutional convention..  Since on average, our politicians are more toward the left, than they were in 1787, when our Constitution was written, we as conservatives could do nothing but lose political ground.

Speaking of our constitution....    IF IT'S NOT BROKE, DON'T BE GOING AROUND, TRYING TO FIX IT !
