I'm not one to be jealous of another's success(s), but......to me, that's a monument to opulence and excess. Just how much house does a family really need before it just screams "look at me and how successful I am?"
Just my opine.....Roger
Sure, it is such a monument..and something that would not wear well on me..but then it is not my problem.. But if that is what they like, good for them...enjoy !
An old country boy...I'd be afraid to touch anything ! Still, I don't begrudge a man like like Pres Trump.. his Mara-Lago..
I have at times wandered in thought, pondering what I would do, were I to "win the lottery".. That can only be a thought, since I never play the lottery !
However; my conclusion was always the same, I would not likely change ANYTHING, concerning where I live, what I drive or how often I go out to dine ..or any other life changing trend.
What might change, would be certain charities, family members...or just cash to truly needy persons.
I actually only posted that link , to show those who may be interested just how the super affluent live. My son took the assignment and it was an all day shoot,
including drone, floor plan illustrated, overhead property lines etc., etc.
The Packard family is dispersed to far places and apparently none near enough to utilize the property, since it is their "Lake House"..
Usually when he finishes a shoot, he has in mind how many bedrooms and baths....but he will have to ascertain the proper number as he does the edits.
A good day's pay for son, a recent $6 million refurbishing, the final price will likely be many millions including the Ming vases and other masterpieces....guess I won't be doing any bidding...
