Avoiding current events
« on: June 07, 2025, 01:01:31 AM »
There are days when I choose not to look at them, like today. Start to and then click off as I start feeling ILL. Had to work 7 days straight and it took its toll. Recuperation in effect.

I work 7 days a week almost every week. I do it by choice most of the time, and its not hard work most of the time. I don't work long hours anymore, and most of it can be done from a pickup checking cattle. I've tried to retire 4 times, but I'm just not good at sitting around.
As far as current events, I try to keep up as I think we're living in dangerous, but interesting times.

Doesn't bother me one bit to just " take it easy". But I agree a day or two of less Fox News or such is nice also. Nice to just stop and smell the roses.

Well, if you don't want to deal with actual news, just watch CNN, MSNBC, ABC or NBC.

I agree with you on the short hiatus. After branding hooked the camper up and went to Red River NM for a few days
